Dr. Vincent Schaefer was elected the Association’s first honorary member.  Also, at this Annual meeting in Santa Barbara, CA, discussion on a possible executive secretary position was discussed and distribution WMA sponsorship materials occurred.

1st Journal of Weather Modification, Volume 1, published. Establishment of a permanent mailing address followed this in September of 1969.
